Legal Aid and Defender to conduct free workshops on small claims courts
DETROIT – Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. (LAD) will conduct a series of three workshops this spring for residents of Wayne, Macomb and Oakland counties on how to represent themselves in small claims courts and collect money judgments.
The first workshop, for Wayne residents, will be held April 24 at LAD headquarters, 613 Abbott St., Detroit.
The second, for Macomb residents, will be held Tuesday, May 15 at Clinton/Macomb Library, 40900 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township.
The third, for Oakland residents, will be held Wednesday, June 20 at Oakland County Law Library, 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Pontiac.
